I can't install Surfshark

You may encounter issues while installing Surfshark on your device. This article covers the main reasons as to why you may be facing these issues.

You may face issues due to the following reasons:

  1. You do not have administrative rights or permissions on your device. This often occurs on company-owned devices by a message "You do not have permission to install this app" or similar.

    If you encounter this issue, we recommend using the Surfshark browser extension on Edge, Firefox, or Chrome browsers.

  2. It is also important to make sure that your Operating System supports Surfshark. Currently, Surfshark is supported on Android, Windows, iOS, macOS, and Linux devices.

    If you are using Windows 7 or 8, you will need to download the Windows Legacy version of the Surfshark app.

  3. If you have an Antivirus installed on your device, please try to disable it, as it can interfere with Surfshark's installation.
