I can't install Surfshark

Most commonly, you may face issues installing Surfshark due to the following reasons:

  1. You do not have administrative rights or permissions on your device. This most commonly occurs on company-owned devices by a message "You do not have permission to install this app" or similar.

In case you do not, we recommend using the Surfshark browser extension on EdgeFirefox, or Chrome browsers.

  2. It is also important to make sure that your Operating System supports Surfshark. Currently, Surfshark is supported on AndroidWindowsiOSmacOS, and Linux devices.

If you are using a Windows 7 or 8, you will need to download the Windows Legacy version of the Surfshark app.

If you are using an earlier than macOS 10.15 (Catalina) version, please check out this article on our blog.

  3. If you have an Antivirus installed on your device, please try to disable it, as it can interfere with Surfshark's installation.
