You will need to download Surfshark VPN on your Android device, which runs OS 6.0 or later. Also, you should have an active Surfshark subscription with Surfshark One or Surfshark One+. You can purchase it on Surfshark's pricing page.

Set up Surfshark Antivirus on your Android device

  1. Open the Surfshark application and tap Products:

  2. Tap Antivirus:

  3. Tap Scan to run your first scan:

  4. In the next pop-up, you'll need to allow file access to Surfshark Antivirus. To do so, tap Open settings:

  5. Toggle Allow access to manage files on:

  6. Go back to the Surfshark app and the scan will begin:

  7. Once the scan is complete, the results will appear. You'll also see the Antivirus dashboard, where you can manage your protection settings:

  • Protection status — shows whether your device is currently protected;
  • Real-time protection — lets you turn continuous protection on or off to help detect threats automatically;
  • Daily scan — allows you to enable or disable automatic daily scans;
  • Include storage — gives you the option to scan files stored on your device;
  • Excluded apps — lets you choose which apps should be left out of scans;
  • Scan — allows you to start a manual scan at any time.

Note: If any threats have been found on your device, we highly recommend removing the files containing threats immediately to secure your device. You are able to do that directly through the Surfshark app.
