How to take a screenshot on Windows

Taking a screenshot will be a breeze with this guide! First off, you will need to open up the Snipping Tool.

Here's how you open it:

  1. Press the Start (Windows) button, type snipping tool in the search box, and then select the Snipping Tool from the list of results.

2. Press Mode (in older versions, select the arrow next to the New button), select Rectangular snip and then select the area of the screen that you want to screenshot.

3. After you capture a screenshot, select the Save Snip button.

4. In the 'Save As' box, type a file name (or leave the default), choose a location and click Save.

Good job, the screenshot has been created! You can now find it in the folder you have decided to save it in.
