How to take a screenshot on Windows

In this article, you will learn how to take a screenshot on your Windows device.

 

Check the following steps:

  1. Open up the Snipping Tool. This application is present by default on all Windows systems. 

    Press the Start (Windows) button, type “snipping tool” in the search box, and then open the Snipping Tool from the list of results.

  2. Press Mode (in older versions, select the arrow next to the New button), select Rectangular snip, and then select the screen area you want to screenshot.

  3. After you capture a screenshot, select the Save Snip button.

  4. In the 'Save As' box, type a file name (or leave the default one), choose a location, and click Save.
