How to configure custom DNS on a GL.iNet router

This guide will show you how to change the DNS server settings on your GL.iNet router.

 

  1. Open the Web Admin Panel. To do so, open a web browser and visit http://192.168.8.1. This link will redirect you to the Web Admin Panel.

    If this is your first time opening the Web Admin Panel, you will need to select the language. Select English or any language you prefer.

  2. Afterward, you will need to create a password that you will use to access the Web Admin Panel. Use any password that you prefer.

  3. Once you complete the initial setup, you will see the Web Admin Panel. Go to Settings > DNS Settings.

    Enter these DNS servers:

    DNS server 1: 162.252.172.57
    DNS server 2: 149.154.159.92

    Check both Force all clients to use and Rebind Protection options and click
    Apply.
