In this article, you will learn how to find out what DNS you're using.

To follow along, you will need a computer or a phone with an active Surfshark VPN subscription. Don't have on yet? Check out Surfshark subscriptions.

After connecting to one of Surfshark's servers, custom DNS addresses will be assigned to you. 

To find your DNS, follow these steps:

  1. Once you connect to Surfshark servers, your device will receive Surfshark DNS addresses. Open this website to make sure that it is correct.

  2. If the connection is secure, IP and DNS addresses will be identical. As you connect to one of Surfshark’s servers, DNS addresses automatically adapt to our servers to prevent DNS leaks after connecting and make sure DNS requests are protected.
