Expired subscription error

In this article, you will learn what to do if you encounter an expired subscription error.

Try these solutions:

  • The most popular solution would be to try logging out of your Surfshark account and logging back in. This way, the account and subscription information in your Surfshark app will reset, fixing the issue.

  • Double-check that you are using the right email. It could be that you have used a different one. If you have paid for your subscription via an Apple device, there is also the possibility that it went under your Apple private relay email address.

  • If that doesn't help, try reinstalling your Surfshark application. You can find information on reinstalling the Surfshark app in our Help Center's App Installation section.

  • Lastly, it might be that your subscription has actually expired. Check the expiration date in the Settings tab of your Surfshark app.
