How to make an exception for Surfshark in Kaspersky antivirus settings

In this article, you will learn how to make an exception for Surfshark on the Kaspersky antivirus application.

 

You will need the Kaspersky app and an active Surfshark subscription. Don't have a subscription yet? Get one on our Surfshark pricing page.

In order to create an exception, complete both the steps below:

 

Create an exception for Surfshark on Windows

  1. Launch the Kaspersky app and click on Settings at the bottom-left corner of the interface:

  2. Go to Security settings:

  3. Click on Exclusions and actions on object detection:

  4. Click Manage exclusions:

  5. Click Add:

  6. Select Browse and locate the Surfshark app:

  7. Select All components:

  8. Click Add:

NOTE: For the changes to apply, make sure to reboot your computer.
 

 

That's it, Surfshark will be added to Kaspersky exclusions.

 

Create an exception for Surfshark on macOS

  1. Launch the Kaspersky app and click on Settings at the top left corner of your screen:

  2. In the Protection tab, click on Trusted Zone...:

  3. Click on the sign:

  4. Find Surfshark and click Open:

  5. Click OK:

NOTE: For the changes to apply, make sure to reboot your computer.

 

Surfshark will now be successfully added to exceptions on your macOS device.
