This guide will show you how to check whether your network has IPv6.
At the moment Surfshark does not support the IPv6 protocol. Having IPv6 enabled on your network might make it complicated to connect to our servers in some situations. You will not notice any difference in your daily activities if you turn IPv6 off as there are not many use cases for IPv6 yet.
- Visit this page at surfshark.com to check your IP address.
- This page will check your current public IP address.
If you have IPv6 running on your network, you will see a lengthy IP address consisting of letters, numbers, and dots.
If you don't have IPv6, you will see a shorter IP address consisting only of numbers and dots.
If you see that IPv6 is active on your network, please disable it to be able to use Surfshark without any possible interruptions. You can disable IPv6 directly on Windows, macOS, and Linux devices.
