Try connecting to other servers and checking if you're still unable to access the desired content.
Change the connection protocol
Changing connection protocols can resolve slow connection speeds. To change the connection protocol, follow the steps below:
-
Go to the Surfshark application.
-
Click on Settings.
-
Choose Protocol.
Make sure to try out all available protocols and see if the speeds remain the same.
Clear the cache of the browser/application
To clear the cache on Android TV, navigate to the settings menu, find the apps section, select the specific app for which you want to clear the cache, and then choose the clear cache option.
Disable CleanWeb
CleanWeb is a feature that blocks malicious ads and websites. In some cases, CleanWeb can block access to certain websites that may look malicious. Follow the steps below to disable the CleanWeb feature:
- Go to the Surfshark application.
- Click on Settings.
-
Select Ad blocker, and click on the slider to disable CleanWeb.
NOTE: Remember that disabling CleanWeb is risky, as by doing this, you will lose protection from malicious websites that may cause harm to your device.
Change device DNS addresses
Navigate to your device's Network & Internet settings and change the DNS addresses to Surfshark ones:
162.252.172.57
149.154.159.92
Once you finish making the changes, try connecting again and checking if the speed has improved.
