What is Surfshark FastTrack?

In this article, you will learn what Surfshark FastTrack is, how it works, and how to use it.

What is FastTrack?

FastTrack is a technology meant to improve connection speeds while using the VPN. It is built on a Nexus infrastructure, which routes traffic through a network of servers rather than a single VPN tunnel, boosting internet speeds. Currently, this new technology affects Sydney, Seattle, and Vancouver servers.

How does FastTrack work?

The Nexus infrastructure is a routing system that connects you to an entire network of servers, rather than a single VPN tunnel - and then routes the connection to a chosen location, meaning:

  • Faster Speeds: Multiple routes, meaning quicker and more reliable connections.
  • Extra Privacy: Your data passes through more than one server, making it harder for anyone to link your IP address to your activity.

How to use FastTrack?

FastTrack will be enabled by default, and you will be able to find locations enhanced by FastTrack with a connection route icon in the main list of all VPN servers.
